Gurkha has commenced the shipping of its third instalment in the Year of the Dragon collaboration series, crafted by Oliva Cigar Co. This new release features a 6 1/2 x 60 Salomon vitola adorned with distinctive orange-hued bands. The blend consists of a Mexican San Andrés wrapper, a Cameroon binder, and a Nicaraguan filler. Each cigar is priced at an MSRP of $25, with a box of 10 cigars available for $250.

This release follows the earlier two instalments in the series, which were crafted by AJ Fernandez and E.P. Carrillo, respectively. The series will conclude with a fourth and final release made by Oscar Valladares, slated to hit the market before fall. Each blend in the series is limited to 2,000 boxes of 10 cigars, emphasizing the exclusivity and limited availability of these premium products.

Smoke Inn, a prominent retailer based in South Florida, offered a limited number of five-packs that included one cigar from each of the five releases. This special offering was part of the retailer’s Great Smoke 2024 event held in February, providing enthusiasts with a unique opportunity to sample the diverse blends from the collaboration series.

The journey of Gurkha’s Zodiac New Year celebration began in December with the launch of the Gurkha Year of the Dragon. This initial release was a limited edition comprising 15,000 cigars produced by Tabacalera El Artista. The success of this launch led to the announcement of the collaborative series in January 2024, with the intent to create unique and memorable cigars for enthusiasts.
