The highly anticipated Fuente y Padrón Legends, a collaborative endeavour between Carlos “Carlito” Fuente and Jorge Padrón, paying homage to their respective fathers, has officially entered the shipping phase. Carlito Fuente confirmed that two containers, each containing 375 boxes, commenced shipping on Thanksgiving day, aligning with the symbolic gesture of gratitude and tribute to the industry’s legendary figures.

While specific details regarding the distribution recipients and pricing remain undisclosed at this time, Carlito Fuente assured Cigar Coop that additional shipments of Fuente y Padrón Legends are in the pipeline. However, a precise timeframe for these subsequent shipments was not provided.

The inception of Fuente y Padrón Legends dates back to 2020, with the cigar formally introduced at the 2022 Premium Cigar Association Trade Show. The unique aspect of this collaboration involves each principal crafting a cigar to honour the father of the other principal. Essentially, Jorge Padrón fashioned a cigar paying homage to Carlos Fuente Sr., while Carlito Fuente created a cigar in honour of Jose Orlando Padrón. The cigars are elegantly presented in a collectible 40-count box/humidor, featuring two 20-count trays housing each blend. Although details about the cigars themselves are limited, it is known that both blends will be offered in a 7 x 50 vitola. The distribution of the cigars is now managed by both companies.

Earlier this year, attendees of Cigar Aficionado’s Big Smoke had the opportunity to experience a prototype of the Fuente y Padrón Legends cigar.
