Author: Inspector X
Freud Cigar Co. is expanding its regular-production SuperEgo line with the introduction of a new Belicoso, which commenced shipping to retailers recently.
The Belicoso measures 6 inches by 52 ring gauge, adding to the SuperEgo line’s existing three sizes. Although the line initially featured a fifth size named Magnum—a 6-by-60 grande—the production of this thicker cigar is currently on hold and is expected to resume this spring. Packaged in 10-count boxes, the Belicoso is priced at $19.50 each or $195 per box, excluding taxes.
Wrapped in an Ecuadoran Corojo-seed wrapper, the cigar boasts an Indonesian Sumatra binder that secures a filler blend of Dominican Corojo, Piloto Cubano, and Criollo ’98 tobacco. Additionally, there’s a touch of Nicaraguan leaf from Jalapa in the filler.
Manufactured at the Tabacalera William Ventura factory in the Dominican Republic, SuperEgo continues to offer enthusiasts a diverse range of sizes and a distinctive blend of premium tobacco.
