Flying Pig Samplers available in The Netherlands. Royal Agio has released a limited number of the Drew Estate Flying Pig Samplers. Only selected shops had the opportunity to carry the samplers for a limited time.

The Drew Estate Undercrown Flying Pig, Undercrown Shade Flying Pig and the Undercrown Sun Grown flying pig aren’t new to the Dutch Market. All are currently available in boxes of 12. But not in a sampler with three cigars for €28,50. Now they are, as long as stock lasts.

The original Flying Pig saw the light in 2009. Steve Saka, back then CEO of the Nicaraguan cigar manufacturer, discovered the vital in a catalog. It was a turn of the century catalog of an old American cigar brand. He was intrigued by the shape, and the Flying Pig was born. First only as a limited edition for the Liga Privada No.9. Then the T52 followed. And the Undercrown Flying Pig XLR, which was limited to 200 boxes exclusively for The Netherlands.

The Flying Pig name

Jonathan Drew explained to us why the cigars are named Flying Pig. When he started his company, not a lot of people believed in his dream. They called him ‘El gringo loco’, the crazy stranger. And his company becoming a success? Only when pigs fly. So after opening the stat of the art factory, and being extremely successful, this was his answer. A nice reminder to the naysayers. The Drew Estate Flying Pigs only made the company stronger and in more demand.

The Undercrown Flying Pig is made with Otapan Negro Ultimo Corte wrapper. The binder is a T52 Connecticut River Stalk Cut & Cured Habano. The fillers are from Nicaragua and Mata Fina in Brazil. The Undercrown Shade Flying Pig has filler from Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic. The binder is Sumatra. The wrapper is a Connecticut Shade from Ecuador. The last cigar in the sampler is the Undercrown Sun Grown Flying Pig. Again with an Ecuadorian wrapper, but this time a sun-grown Sumatra variety. The binder is Connecticut River Stalk Cut & Cured Habano. The filler is all from Nicaragua.
