First DOM Cigar event after lockdown. Now that the covid-19 pandemic Is over its peak in most of the world, the world is rebooting. And the Slovakian cigar distributor DOM cigar is rebooting its monthly cigar events as well. But for the first DOM Cigar event after the lockdown, a different location is selected.

Where the events usually take place at the HRON Club in Bratislava, DOM cigar is taking the event outside. The summer weather in Slovakia created a perfect opportunity for an outdoor event. So the event will take place at the Wakeland Resort at Zlate Piesky in Bratislava. On Tuesday, July 28, starting at 6 pm. As always the event includes a buffet-style dinner, two alcoholic beverages, and three cigars. The brand that is selected by DOM cigar is Ashton.

The cigars

Included in the event are the classic Ashton Classic Magnum, Ashton Aged Maduro No.10, and the Paradiso Quintessence Majestic.

The Ashton Classic Magnum is a 5×50 Robusto. And this line is truly a classic. This line is the first Ashton to ever be released. That was in 1985, 35 years ago. This cigar is made at Tabacalera Fuente y Cia and uses a Connecticut Shade wrapper. The filler and binder are all Dominican. This cigar is passing the test of time over and over again. Still scoring high rates at world-renowned magazines.

Another classic is the Ashton Aged Maduro No.10. Another cigar made at Tabacalera Fuente y Cia. Any premium cigar with the Ashton name is produced at that world-class factory. The Aston Aged Maduro is the follow up to the Ashton Classic. With almost the same recipe. Dominican tobacco as filler and binder. And Connecticut tobacco as the wrapper. But instead of Connecticut Shade, Connecticut Broadleaf is used. This cigar measured 5×50 as well.

Non Ashton Ashton brands

Besides the Ashton brands, Ashton has Nicaraguan cigars too. La Aroma de Cuba, known as La Aroma del Caribe outside the USA. Benchmade, and San Cristobal. San Cristobal is named Paradiso in the international markets. The Paradiso Quintessence is one of those cigars. All the Nicaraguan Ashton cigars are made at My Father Cigars in Esteli. The Paradiso Quintessence Majestic measures 6×60. It’s made with Nicaraguan tobacco from the farms of the Garcia family. Add an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper, and you have the Paradiso Quintessence blend. This line was released in 2016.
