Three years after their initial launch in the fall of 2021, Ferio Tego continues to expand its brand thoughtfully, gaining recognition in the premium cigar market. The company is now adding a new 6” x 50 toro size to each blend in their Ferio Tego Timeless Collection, a line-up of four unique blends crafted in both the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua. This decision follows the earlier release of a toro size for their Ferio Tego Summa blend and aligns with the company’s flagship annual limited releases, Ferio Tego Elegancia and Generoso, which are also available exclusively in the 6” x 50 format.

Michael Herklots, co-owner of Ferio Tego, commented on the popularity of the toro size, stating, “The toro format has become one of the most popular vitolas sold on the U.S. market. Its 50-ring gauge sits perfectly in the middle of the spectrum of ring gauges popular on the American market today. At six inches in length, it provides an opportunity to create more flavour development from start to finish without commanding the time commitment that comes with longer, larger cigars.” This balance of size and flavour complexity makes the toro an appealing option for cigar enthusiasts looking for a rich smoking experience without the prolonged duration that comes with larger cigars.

Each blend in the Timeless Collection offers a distinct smoking experience. The Ferio Tego Timeless Panamericana Magnum, a full-bodied and complex blend, is made from Nicaraguan, Costa Rican, and Ecuadorian tobaccos and is available in boxes of ten, priced at $15.25 per cigar. The Ferio Tego Timeless Sterling Toro, featuring Dominican fillers and binder with an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper, also comes in ten-count boxes at the same price point. The Ferio Tego Timeless Supreme 650, a Nicaraguan puro made from tobaccos sourced from four major growing regions—Jalapa, Estelí, Condega, and Ometepe—is available in boxes of 21 cigars, with an MSRP of $12.25 per cigar. Lastly, the Ferio Tego Timeless Prestige Toro combines Nicaraguan and Dominican fillers with a Dominican binder and a Honduran wrapper, presented in boxes of 20 cigars at $12.25 per cigar.

Herklots expressed excitement about bringing the toro shape to all four blends in the Timeless Collection, stating, “The toro offers the perfect entry point to each of these four blends, which can then lead to further discovery of the blends in other formats.” This move not only highlights the versatility of the toro size but also encourages cigar enthusiasts to explore each blend more deeply.

The Nicaraguan-made Panamericana and Supreme cigars are crafted by the renowned Plasencia family in Estelí, Nicaragua, while the Sterling and Prestige, made in the Dominican Republic, are produced by the Quesada family in Licey. Ferio Tego’s distribution in the United States is handled by Davidoff USA, and all four toro-sized cigars are now shipping to retailers across the country.
