Espinosa Cigars to release the next Warhead. The sixth release of the limited edition series since 2013. That makes it almost an annual limited edition. Espinosa cigars took a break in 2015 and 2017 for the 601 La Bomba Warhead series. The La Bomba Warhead series is a spin-off of the 601 La Bomba line. The blend is tweaked and now utilizes a Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper instead of the Habano wrapper. The Nicaraguan binder and fillers are the same for both lines.

Warhead series

The artwork for the 601 La Bomba Warhead is inspired by World War II aircraft art. From the boxes to the logo. And from the foot ring to the rest. That artwork is present on the new release too. The 601 La Bomba Warhead VI is a 5×58 Figurado. It’s not made at Tabacalera La Zone, the factory owned by Erik Espinosa. Instead, it’s made at Tabacalera San Lotano. That’s the second factory of A.J. Fernandez in Ocotal, Nicaragua. Only 10.000 cigars are produced. 1000 boxes of 10 cigars.

The previous five releases are all box-pressed. The 601 La Bomba Warhead VI is round. It is also the thickest cigar in the series so far. In 2013 Espinosa Cigars release 20.000 601 La Bomba Warhead cigars in a 6½x54 size. 2014 saw 20.000 of the 5½x56 601 La Bomba Warhead II. The 601 La Bomba Warhead III followed in 2016, this time limited to 5.000 cigars measuring 7½x38. The production moved to Tabacalera San Lotano in 2018. That year the 601 La Bomba Warhead IV came to the market in a 6×48 size. The production limit is 10.000 cigars since then. For 2019, Espinosa went with a 6×52 Toro.
