Episode 24: The Philip & Ferdi Cigar Show. With a returning guest, Lord GK from whiskyhaven.com. Our friend Gautam aka Lord GK from whiskyhaven joined us for the previous episode as well. And this time he brought another great whisky. When the video shoot was over, he blew us out of the water with an extremely rare and expensive whisky. Only 144 bottles of this 26-year-old Talisker are available, bodega cask matured whisky.

The cigar the guys smoked for this episode is the Illusione Haut 10 Robusto. Our guest Lord GK is an avid smoker of Cuban cigars, but he loves the Illusione Haut 10. So Ferdy grabbed some cigars from his personal collection to enjoy with the Jura 18 that whiskyhaven selected for this episode. In the video, two older episodes are mentioned: Episode 15 and Episode 23. Don Pepin Garcia is also mentioned. And around 45 minutes, The Philip & Ferdy Cigar Show turns into Sheldon Cooper’s Fun with Flags.

Illusione Haut 10

According to the story, the Illusione Haut 10 is blended to taste like the old Cohiba blend. And with the old Cohiba blend, we mean pre-2000. It’s blended by Illusione’s Dion Giolito on request of the older Cuban employees of Aganorsa Leaf’s factory. At the Tabacos Valle de Jalapa, a few old Cuban tobacco masters approached Giolito if he could make something for them that reminded them of the old Cohiba they used to smoke in Cuba. The final product brought them back to Cuba. Illusione then released the cigars under the name Illusione Haut 10.
