The new boxes and bands get a more modern approach and the EPC logo. “We wanted to celebrate the 10th anniversary with a more modern design that emphasizes that Inch is made by E.P. Carrillo,” said Lissette Perez-Carrillo. “Unfortunately, many consumers are not aware that Inch is part of the E.P. Carrillo brand, so we enhanced the logo presence with the new box design.”

The packaging changes from rustic wooden boxes of more colourful and vibrant boxes with the EPC logo on top. The company has kept the old ruler look as part of the packaging, emphasizing the thickness that makes the cigars distinctive. Because cigar ring gauges are measured in 1/64 of an inch, the brand’s signature 64-ring-gauge cigars are exactly an inch in diameter, hence the name.

There’s also a new Inch coming, the Inch Nicaragua. The new line isn’t made at Carrillo’s La Alianza factory in the Dominican Republic but at the Plasencia factory in Esteli. Nicaragua.
