E.P. Carrillo proudly unveils its latest addition to the acclaimed Essence Series: the E.P. Carrillo Honduras. This new release promises to captivate cigar enthusiasts with its rich and layered flavour profile, setting a new standard in taste and craftsmanship. As the third blend in the Essence Series, following the successful Sumatra and Maduro, the E.P. Carrillo Honduras is a significant departure, marking the first time an Essence Series cigar has been crafted outside the Casa Carrillo factory. This new masterpiece was produced exclusively at the renowned Plasencia factory in Honduras.

Ernesto Perez-Carrillo III, the visionary behind the project, expressed his excitement for this release: “Two years ago, our journey took us beyond the Casa Carrillo factory with the creation of the INCH Nicaragua, in collaboration with Plasencia’s Nicaraguan facility. Today, we continue that partnership with the introduction of the E.P. Carrillo Honduras, which represents the culmination of the shared expertise and heritage of both families.” This collaboration not only deepens the relationship between the two legendary names but also highlights the artistry and tradition that both families bring to the cigar industry.

The E.P. Carrillo Honduras is more than just a cigar—it’s a tribute to the legacies of both the Carrillo and Plasencia families. The blend features a carefully selected Honduran Olancho San Agustín (OSA) wrapper, known for its distinctive flavour, thanks to the microclimate and fertile soil of the region. The wrapper undergoes a meticulous two-year fermentation process, resulting in a dark, oily sheen that promises a smooth and rich smoking experience. The binder is also from Honduras, while the fillers are a blend of tobaccos from both Honduras and Nicaragua, offering a balanced and complex flavour profile.

The E.P. Carrillo Honduras will be available in three sizes:
• Robusto (5×50)
• Toro (6×52)
• Gordo (6×60)

These cigars will be packaged in 24-count boxes, with an MSRP of $9.25 for the Robusto, $10 for the Toro, and $10.75for the Gordo. The cigars are now shipping to retailers nationwide, making them accessible to aficionados eager to explore this new blend.

The Essence Series itself is set to continue expanding, with six distinctive blends planned over the coming years. Each blend will feature a unique wrapper, showcasing the diversity and craftsmanship of E.P. Carrillo’s portfolio. Following the earlier releases of the Sumatra and Maduro, the Honduras is the latest addition, and the line-up will further grow with the introduction of blends featuring Connecticut, Nicaragua, and Cameroon wrappers. The E.P. Carrillo Honduras marks a bold new chapter in the Essence Series, setting the stage for what is sure to be an exciting future for this celebrated line.
