NewsDunbarton Tobacco & Trust Discontinues Mi Querida Muy Gordo Grande, Introduces New Vitola for 2025

Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust has announced the discontinuation of the Mi Querida Muy Gordo Grande, a 6 x 54 toro grande vitola. In its place, the company will introduce a larger 6 x 64 size next year.
Steve Saka, founder of Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust, shared the news via a Facebook post. He explained that the decision to replace the Mi Querida Muy Gordo Grande with the thicker vitola was made to create more distinction from the 6 x 52 size while also catering to those who enjoy the 7 x 64 Gran Bufalo format.
The Mi Querida line first launched in 2016, featuring four different sizes, including the now-discontinued Muy Gordo Grande. The cigars in this range are wrapped in Connecticut Broadleaf, with a binder and filler composed entirely of Nicaraguan tobacco. Over the years, the line has expanded to more than 10 different sizes and has inspired popular offshoots such as the Mi Querida Triqui Traca and Mi Querida Black.
Production of the Muy Gordo Grande ceased in early 2024, with just 56 boxes remaining in stock, according to Saka. He also hinted at a potential similar change within the Umbagog line, though the 6 x 56 Gordo Gordo vitola remains in production for now.
When asked for further details about the new Mi Querida 6 x 64 size, Saka stated that it was too early to reveal specifics such as its name or price.
