Davidoff of Geneva USA has officially announced its return to the PCA Convention & Trade Show in 2025, which is scheduled to take place from 11th to 14th April in New Orleans. This marks a significant comeback for Davidoff, as the company has not exhibited at the largest cigar trade show in the United States since 2019.
Previously, Davidoff was among four major companies—alongside Altadis U.S.A., Drew Estate, and General Cigar Co.—that withdrew from the 2020 PCA Convention & Trade Show due to various concerns. While the other three companies resumed their participation last year, Davidoff had remained absent until now. However, with the announcement of its participation in the 2025 event, all four companies will once again be exhibitors, marking a full return to the trade show by these industry giants.
In its press release, Davidoff explained that one of the key reasons for its return is the decision to shift the trade show from its traditional summer dates to earlier in the year. The company noted that this new timing “better fits the company’s and industry’s business cycle and presents the opportunity for a more impactful presentation of the company’s brands and programmes going forward.”
Zak Medwin, Ad Interim President & Commercial Director of Davidoff, expressed his enthusiasm about the renewed alignment between Davidoff and PCA leadership. “I’m very pleased that in recent conversations with PCA leadership we have found closer alignment and a shared vision of shaping our beautiful industry’s future,” said Medwin. He further highlighted that the PCA event is more than just a trade show for Davidoff—it is an opportunity to reaffirm the company’s commitment to the premium cigar industry and its valued business partners. Medwin added, “We are looking forward to spotlighting our iconic brands, connecting with all industry stakeholders, and continuing to strengthen our long-standing partnerships.”
Although Davidoff has not been an official exhibitor since 2019—when the trade show was known as IPCPR 2019—the company has maintained a presence through its distribution of Ferio Tego, which has exhibited at the trade show in recent years. Additionally, a small number of Davidoff employees have been present at the event to support Ferio Tego.
For many years, Davidoff was synonymous with hosting the trade show’s most formal event, previously known as the Davidoff Dinner and later as the Golden Band Awards. This black-tie formal dinner was an annual highlight, held during the trade show for retailers who carry the company’s prestigious “white label” cigars. However, there has been no announcement yet regarding whether this tradition will be revived at the 2025 trade show.
Davidoff’s return to the PCA Convention & Trade Show is anticipated with great interest, as the company prepares to showcase its iconic brands and reconnect with industry stakeholders. The decision to participate in the 2025 event underscores Davidoff’s continued dedication to the premium cigar industry and its ongoing efforts to strengthen relationships with its partners.
