Davidoff Cigars has joined forces with the esteemed menswear retailer, The Armoury, to unveil ‘The Study,’ a novel cigar tasting lounge situated in Hong Kong’s Pedder Arcade within the city’s Central District.

Embodying a contemporary retail concept inspired by historic European shopping arcades, Pedder Arcade, located on the fifth floor of the iconic Pedder Building, stands as a modern shopping haven boasting upscale stores, an engaging art gallery, a charming bar, café, and now, a cigar-tasting lounge. This innovative concept provides a refuge from the bustling intensity of Hong Kong, creating a sophisticated and serene atmosphere for patrons to relish.

Mark Cho, co-founder of The Armoury, expressed his vision for the space, stating, “I wanted to make a place for people to shop in peace, an environment that feels grand but comforting simultaneously. The Pedder Arcade was a dream of mine for many years, and I am grateful to the landlords of the building who believed in my vision and allowed me to bring it to life. I hope it becomes a global destination that reminds everyone of how special Hong Kong truly is.”

Following the existing Davidoff of Geneva since 1911 retail concept, which exudes the elegance of a cigar box—stylish, contemporary, and warm—The Study presents a contemporary reinterpretation of the traditional lounge. With high ceilings and arch windows welcoming abundant natural light, the interior incorporates lush woods and natural materials in earthy tones reminiscent of cigar hues. The Study not only serves as a space for leisure but also as a place to work, providing an environment where individuals can savour the finer things in life while being productive.
