Daddy Mac tasting in Zwijdrecht. Rokerscentrum Boulogne is hosting a cigar tasting on May 13th. And special guest will be importer, distributor, and retailer Sasja van Horssen.

 With four specialized tobacco shops, he is the biggest cigar retailer in the country.

Rokerscentrum Boulogne is an old fashioned tobacco shop. And for years, they have been hosting a few events per year. The shop was sold last year. The new owners keep the tradition going.

The shop is located in Zwijndrecht. Zwijndrecht is a municipal located 20 kilometers south of Rotterdam. The shop is part of Compaenen cooperation. Compaenen is a group of independent retailers. They use their combined buying power to negotiate Compaenen exclusive products. Those include pipe tobacco, machine-made cigars and premium cigars.

The event

The event on Monday, May 13 will start at 7 pm. Van Horssen will introduce the two cigars of the night. The first will be the Condega Serie F Maduro Robusto. That is a limited edition cigar. And the second cigar of the night is the Cornelius & Anthony Daddy Mac Robusto.

The Condega Serie F Maduro is a limited edition. Only available in a Robusto size. The binder and fillers come from the Aganorsa farms in Nicaragua. The wrapper is Mexican San Andres Maduro.

The second cigar is brand new to the Dutch market. It is the Cornelius & Anthony Daddy Mac Robusto. This 5×52 sized cigar is made at the La Zona factory. That factory is located in the heart of Nicaragua’s cigar city, Esteli. The cigar is named after Mac Bailey, the father of Cornelius & Anthony founder Steven Bailey.

The Cornelius & Anthony Daddy Mac is made with Nicaraguan filler tobaccos, Ecuadorian binder, and a Brazilian wrapper.
