CSWC Stay Strong Competition. Each year, the Cigar Smoking World Championship hosts dozens of qualification tournaments all over the world. Winners of these qualifiers win a ticket to the finals in Split, Croatia. The qualifiers take place in Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and North America. But the number of qualifiers is growing every single year.

Yet this year, only a few qualifying events took place. All the others are canceled due to the current pandemic. Covid-19 or the coronavirus has the world in a lockdown. So the people behind the Cigar Smoking World Championship came up with a solution. An online version of the tournament, using the popular app Zoom. The rules remain the same, smoke your cigar as slow as possible. Don’t burn the ring, don’t talk in the first five minutes. Only use 2 cigar matches to light the cigar. And as an added rule, the cigar has to be visible on camera throughout the competition.
