Crowned Heads turns Le Pâtissier from last year’s limited edition into this year’s hottest new regular production. The 6½x44 Lonsdale was a PCA exclusive limited edition last year but that size won’t return in the new regular production line. The blend is identical though.

The regular production sizes are a 6 1/8 x48 Senadores, a 4¾x50 No.50, a 5 7/8 x52 Canonazo and a 5¾x54 No,54. The cigars are made with a Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder and filler from Costa Rica and Nicaragua. The cigar is inspired by Crowned Heads La Carema, but with a different blend and a different factory. La Carema was made at My Father Cigars, Le Pâtissier comes from Tabacalera Pichardo.

“We knew going into last year’s PCA show that we had something special in the Le Pâtissier blend,” says Jon Huber, co-founder of Crowned Heads, in a press release. “Having said that, dialling that blend down into a 44 ring gauge was a challenge as we could only use lower priming wrappers that would yield a thinner cover leaf. Immediately after the release, we went to work on repurposing the Le Pâtissier blend into a slightly larger ring gauge, and it took the flavour profile and performance to the next level. The result is a Broadleaf (CT) expression that is completely unique to any of our previous forays with that wrapper.”
