Author: Inspector Y
Aficionados of Cuban mini cigars are soon to be presented with a fresh option courtesy of one of the globe’s most distinguished brands.
Unveiled during a gathering on December 5 in Limassol, Cyprus, the Cohiba Wide Short made its debut. This cigarillo, measuring 3 9/10 x 31.5, is elegantly presented in six-count cardboard boxes. Similar to its smaller counterpart, the Cohiba Short, which entered the scene in 2016 with dimensions of 3 1/4 x 26, the Wide Short is a machine-made cigar.
The event also showcased the introduction of two other cigars. The El Rey del Mundo Royal Series, a 6 1/8 x 50 vitola, stands as an exclusive release available at La Casa del Habano (LCDH) stores worldwide. The second, the Por Larrañaga Fénix Edición Regional Phoenicia, boasts a 7 1/4 x 50 Churchill extra vitola known as a 109, created to mark the 15th anniversary of the partnership between Habanos S.A. and Phoenicia T.A.A. Cyprus Ltd.
According to Walid Saleh, CEO of Phoenicia T.A.A. Cyprus Ltd., the Cohiba Wide Short is slated for release in mid-January, with its price set to be “double” that of the Cohiba Short, as indicated in a text message.
