Cohiba Atmosphere Beijing opened. Another Cohiba Atmosphere lounge opened, this time in China. This news comes in right after the opening of the Cohiba Atmosphere Nicosia. Last year, a Cohiba Atmosphere opened in Kuala Lumpur as well. Habanos is expanding the Cohiba Atmosphere concept at a rapid pace.

On the last day of June, the Cohiba Atmosphere Beijing officially opened. High profile visitors gathered for the official opening. Ambassadors, diplomats, and embassy officials from Costa Rica, Ecuador, Venezuela, El Salvador, Argentine, and The Netherlands were present. Together with Chinese entrepreneurs and artists. The ex-ambassador of China in Cuba, Mr. Zhang Tuo was present as well.

Official opening

The Cuban ambassador in China, Mr. Carlos Migues Pereira officially opened the brand new Cohiba Atmosphere. He cut the rope with the owner of the club, Mr. Victor Teng. During the event, Victor Teng signed the trademark license agreement with the Habanos representative in China, Omar Leon. An official grand opening is planned for September next year. Earlier is not possible due to the pandemic.

The new Cohiba Atmosphere impressed everyone. The design and setting transported everyone to Havana. The Cuban music, mojitos, and Habanos cigars did the rest. According to the patrons, it was an imaginary trip to the flor de las Antillas. Cuba is the largest of the Antilles islands.

Cohiba Atmosphere concept

The concept of the Cohiba Atmosphere is an upgraded version of a La Casa del Habano. Where La Casa del Habano franchises are more focused on retail, the Cohiba Atmosphere is more hospitality-focused. Luxurious lounges, high-quality drinks, a perfect pairing. The concept is owned by Habanos S.A., the marketing and distribution arm of Cuba Tabaco. 

There are only a few Cohiba Atmosphere worldwide. There are franchises in Europe (Antwerp- Belgium, Sofia – Bulgaria, Tirana – Albania, Prague – Czech Republic, Nicosia – Cyprus). The Americas have Cohiba Atmosphere lounges in Buenos Aires Argentina, Cancun Mexico, and Havana, Cuba. There’s a Cohiba Atmosphere in Kuwait, the only one in the Middle East. Asia has Cohiba Atmosphere lounges in Kuala Lumpur – Malaysia, Bangkok – Thailand, Tokyo – Japan, Hong Kong, and Phnom Pen – Cambodia. Shanghai is the only city in the world with two Cohiba Atmosphere lounges. The new Cohiba Atmosphere in Beijing is the latest addition.
