NewsCigarKings Dos Colores: A Visual and Flavorful Marvel with Unique Barber Pole Design
Author: Inspector Y
The CigarKings Dos Colores, featuring a distinctive barber pole design, is now making its way to cigar stores. This unique cigar, crafted by CigarKings, is a 6 x 43 corona gorda with an eye-catching appearance created by the barber pole design. The term “barber pole” refers to the use of two different contrast wrappers on a single cigar. In this instance, both wrappers are sourced from Los Ríos, Ecuador, with one being a Connecticut-seed shade varietal and the other a Sumatra-seed Colorado varietal. The internal composition of the cigar includes diverse Nicaraguan tobaccos, featuring two corojo binders from Jalapa and fillers comprising corojo seco from Jalapa and Habano 2000 viso from Estelí.
A barber pole cigar is characterized by the incorporation of two wrappers of different colours, rolled together at a slight angle to create an alternating design reminiscent of the stripes on a barber’s pole. The CigarKings Dos Colores exemplifies this artistic and visually striking technique.
Priced at €10 ($10.96) per cigar, the Dos Colores is offered in limited production, with only 300 boxes of 12 cigars available. Philipp Kugler, CEO and founder of CigarKings, a German-based cigar company, shared insights into the concept behind the Dos Colores, emphasizing the aim to provide customers with a truly unique smoking experience that excels both in flavour and visual appeal. The combination of the two distinct wrappers adds complexity and depth to the cigar, promising a delightful experience with each draw.
CigarKings produces its cigars at a discreetly undisclosed factory in Nicaragua. Despite founder and owner Philipp Kugler emphasizes transparency he remains secretive about the manufacturing facility, only revealing that the cigars are made in Nicaragua.
