Cigar Masterclass in Kuala Lumpur. On Saturday the 16th of November, Samuel Spurr will teach attendees all about the origins of cigars. And he will pair cigars with coffee and whisky. Spurr is an Australian expat living in Kuala Lumpur. He’s the southeast Asian editor for Cigar Journal Magazine.

But that’s not all. The tickets for the event also include a demonstration of a Honduran cigar roller. There is a light dinner available, two complimentary cigars. And if you attend this masterclass, you’ll get a certificate of attendance. Now, if you read our articles on the Cigar Sommelier scam, you might think we are against this certificate too. But no, this is just a certificate of attendance, not a pretentious piece of paper that claims the attendees are now official international cigar sommeliers.

The masterclass

The masterclass takes place on Saturday, November 16th. The location is the recently opened cigar lounge The Duke. You can find The Duke at THE REPUBLIK Jalan Medan Setia 1, Plaza Damansara, Damansara Heights, 50490 Kuala Lumpur. Tickets are for sale at The Duke, you can contact them here. Tickets including the whisky pairing are 229 Ringgit, tickets for the non-alcohol drinkers are 199 ringgit. There are limited seats available, so be quick.
