Celebrating the Year of the Dragon: S.T. Dupont’s Exclusive Dragon-Themed Collections
As the Chinese New Year heralds the arrival of the Year of the Dragon on the Chinese Zodiac calendar, several cigar companies are joining the celebration with limited edition dragon-themed cigars. Among them is S.T. Dupont, the renowned French accessory company, which introduces three distinct dragon-themed collections, capturing the essence of this auspicious year.
The Year of the Dragon collection, available in black and red colourways, features eight items, each showcasing intricate craftsmanship. While these items are not entirely new, the colour variations present a fresh and vibrant take on S.T. Dupont’s signature designs. The collection includes the Slim 7, maxi Jet, D-Initial, 2-Cigar Case, Cigar Case Scales, Ashtray, Ligne 2, and Eternity Fountain/Rollerball—all adorned with dragon motifs, symbolizing power and strength.
The Dragon Scales Collection, available in blue/pink gold, honey/gold, and red/gold, employs guilloche, an engraving technique, to create a dragon-scale pattern. The more affordable maxi Jet, Slim 7, and Eternity Ballpoint pen within this collection feature solid colours, maintaining a sophisticated yet understated elegance.
Notably, the three dragon-themed colourways are available for each item in the collection, with the exception of the 2 Cigar Case. Prices range from $225 for the D-Initial Ballpoint to $1,995 for the Eternity Fountain/Rollerball.
For aficionados with a penchant for luxury, S.T. Dupont presents the Haute Creation Year of the Dragon, crafted from bronze with 18k gold plating. These opulent pieces, available on a made-to-order basis, embody exclusivity and artistry. The Haute Creation Year of the Dragon collection includes lighters and pens, with prices ranging from $15,200 to $29,400. Limited to only 88 pieces of each, these items promise to be a rare and prestigious addition to any connoisseur’s collection, offering a bespoke experience that transcends conventional cigar accessories.
