CAO Session

Rick Rodriguez, the blender for CAO Cigars, found the inspiration for CAO Session close to home. In his own garage. Inspired by the many great cigars he smoked there. And to make the cigar, Rodriguez teamed up with General Cigars Dominicana factory manager Yuri Guillen. It was Yuri who taught Rodriguez the first steps into the world of blending when he made the switch from being sales.

The cigars are made at the General Cigars Dominicana factory. Its the first CAO to come out of the Dominican Republic in years. In the most recent years, all new blends came from Esteli, Nicaragua. General Cigars has a huge factory there as well. The cigars are described as medium-bodied. And according to Rodriguez, it’s the perfect cigar, for every moment and every cigar smoker. Perfect for in your garage, man cave, in a bar or in a cigar shop. By yourself, or in the company of other brothers and sisters of the leaf.

The cigar is made with Nicaraguan and Dominican filler. The binder comes from the Dominican Republic and the wrapper is Connecticut Broadleaf. There are three sizes available. Those are a 5¼x54 cigar called Garage. The second cigar is called Bar and measures 6×49. And the final size is a 6×60 with the name Shop. All come in boxes of 20 cigars.
