Bocock Brothers Premium Cigars is moving their World Traveler Maduro from the San Judas Tadeo factory in Honduras to Tabacalera AJ Fernandez in Nicaragua, which sort of is true to the World Traveler name. The move comes after Bocock Brothers worked with A.J. Fernandez for their Signature Edition. They worked so well together that they asked Abdel Fernandez to reimagine the World Traveler Maduro line.
And Fernandez did. He changed the Nicaraguan wrapper of the old blend for a Mexican San Andres and also changed the Honduran-grown Connecticut-seed binder to an Ecuadorian Habano binder. The filler on both blends is all Nicaraguan and the press release did not mention whether the components of the filler remained the same.
“We knew it wouldn’t be easy,” said brothers, Bryant and Doug Bocock, in a press release when talking about moving the line to a new factory. “But we also know we are in good hands in our ongoing pursuit of excellence,” with the pair going on to call Abdel Fernandez a mentor to them.
The Bocock Brothers World Traveler Maduro comes in a 5×50 Robusto, 6×52 Toro and a 6×60 Gordo. Each size comes in boxes of 20 cigars.
