Blanco Cigars changes distributor in Germany. The American cigar company and their German distributor PasionPuro mutually agreed to part ways. PasionPuro will focus more on the other brands they distribute and the European warehousing for Mombacho. And Blanco cigars? They had no trouble finding a new distributor in Tabac Benden.

Tabac Benden is a famous name in the German cigar industry. They are most famous for their Cigarworld shop in Dusseldorf, and their La Casa del Habano in the same location. As far as we know, its the largest lounge in Europe. But Tabac Benden is also an importer and distributor for premium, handmade cigars. Not just for a few Cigarworld exclusive cigars but they also distribute to other retailers all around Germany. One of the brands they represent is Cornelius & Anthony, and now Blanco Cigars too.

In 1998 Cuban refugee Cesar A. Blanco and his son David founded Blanco Cigars, at first as Los Blancos. The name changed to Blanco Cigars in a later stage. It was going back to the family roots, the tobacco trade. The Blanco family history goes back to Pinar del Rio, Cuba. But after the revolution, they fled to the United States. David Blanco is the first-generation American born Blanco. And he wears that with pride. And recently he was named CEO of Blanco Cigars. He is also the master blender for the company and related to the Plasencia family. Plasencia is responsible for the manufacturing of the Blanco Cigars.

Ministry of Cigars - Blanco Cigars changes distributor in Germany

The two companies only recently signed a distribution agreement and it’s yet unclear what Blanco cigars will be distributed in Germany. What is known is that David Blanco will be visiting accounts in Germany after the Intertabac trade show. And there is an event planned on October 1st at the Whisky Cigar Salon in Gronau.
