SpecialsBalmoral Paso Doble released
Author: Inspector Z
Balmoral Paso Doble released in the United States. It’s the second release of the Balmoral Signaturas series, a series of collaborations with other cigar manufacturers. The first Balmoral Signaturas was the Balmoral Dueto. That was a collaboration with Ernesto Perez Carrillo, released in 2018. And the 2019 Balmoral Signatura is a collaboration with Litto Gomez and La Flor Dominicana.
The cigar is named Balmoral Serie Signaturas Paso Doble. It comes in three sizes. The Robusto measures 5¾x50, the Gran Toro is 6¼x54. But the most eye-catching one is the 7×55 figurado with the name Brindis. The cigar is made at Tabacalera La Flor with an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper over Dominican fillers and binder.
International release unknown
For now, the cigars will only be released in the United States. The Balmoral Dueto was released in the United States last year and is now being released in Europe. We reviewed the Balmoral Dueto earlier this year. There is no international release date for the Balmoral Signatura Paso Doble yet. And with the current situation, with an uncertain future with the possible sale to Scandinavian Tobacco Group, it’s unclear what will happen next.
It could be that the Balmoral Signatura series will be discontinued if Royal Agio and Scandinavian Tobacco Group get the green light for the sale by the E.U. competition authority. It is also unclear if Scandinavian Tobacco Group will release the Balmoral Signatura Paso Doble internationally if they are allowed to acquire Royal Agio Cigars.
We visited Royal Agio in Duizel, Netherlands, and their facilities in Westerlo, Belgium last week. An article about that visit will follow later. But we were able to smoke a Balmoral Signatura Paso Doble Brindis and we saved one for a review to be published soon. Just like a review of the brand new limited edition Balmoral AÅ„ejo Oscuro Lancero FT.
