Balmoral Añejo XO sampler for The Netherlands. The sampler holds four cigars, all the four different Balmoral Añejo XO blends that are currently available. Although, the Balmoral Añejo XO Nicaragua isn’t available in Europe yet but will be soon. For those that cannot wait to smoke the latest addition to the Balmoral Añejo XO series, the samplers should be available at tobacconists in The Netherlands now.

The sampler comes in two shapes. As a sampler with just the 4 cigars in a 5×55 Rothschild Masivo size, or as a lockdown package. The lockdown package includes the sampler box, a cutter, matches, and tasting notes for you to compare your experience with those of the blenders. The lockdown package fits through any regular mailbox to lower the shopping costs. Because of legislation in The Netherlands, the lockdown packages have a slightly higher cost price than the regular samplers. It is prohibited to give away any gifts with cigars. And cigars have a fixed price in The Netherlands. The sampler box is set at €36 where the lockdown box as an MSRP of €42,50 but tobacconists can sell it for any price as long as it’s over €42,50.

Balmoral Añejo XO

The first Balmoral Añejo was released in the fall of 2012 at the Dutch Big Smoke. That cigar was created with an 18-year-old wrapper and stole the heart of cigar aficionados all over Europe. When Royal Agio ran out of that wrapper, the Balmoral Añejo XO, with a similar blend, was released. Followed by the Balmoral Añejo XO Oscuro and the Balmoral Añejo XO Connecticut. Last summer, Royal Agio introduced the Balmoral Añejo XO Nicaragua in the United States. And now, for the first time ever, the Balmoral Añejo XO Nicaragua is available in Europe, in this exclusive sampler.

The blend of the Balmoral Nicaragua consists of Brazilian, Dominican, and Nicaraguan tobacco in the filler, combined with the signature from Royal Agio. That signature is stalk-cut Brazilian Mata Fina tobacco. The binder is a Brazilian Cubra and the wrapper is Sun Grown Habano wrapper from Nicaragua.
