ATL Cigar Company moved the production of its Black cigar to a new factory. The production move also means a tweaked blend and a new size. Besides the original 6×52 Torpedo, ATL Black is also available as a 6½x56 Gran Toro. Tabacalera Pichardo, best known for the ACE Prime cigars and some of the Crowned Head cigars is the new producer.

As for the blend, except for the Mexican San Andres wrapper, it’s all Nicaraguan tobacco. A binder from Masaya. The filler comes from Esteli, Jalapa and Pueblo Nuevo. “We’ve always loved the blend of the ATL Black, so when we brought it to Luciano (Meirelles) at ACE Prime, we didn’t want to lose the combination of ‘fuerte’ and ‘suave’ which we felt is more unique in our Maduro,” says Leroy Lamar of ATL Cigar Co. “Not only did Luciano retain the essence of what makes the ATL Black so special, he deepened it in a way that only he can. So for our customers, this will be the ATL Black they love, only better.”
