SpecialsArturo Fuente expands the Rare Pink line
Author: Inspector Z
Arturo Fuente expands the Rare Pink line. This line is quite new and available since last year. Liana Fuente is the driving force behind the Rare Pink line. Of every box sold $13 goes to The American Cancer Society—Making Strides Against Breast Cancer. This is a cause close to the heart of Liana Fuente. The current four sizes will become seven sizes this fall.
Rare Pink vs Hemingway
The Arturo Fuente Rare Pink shares a lot of similarities with the Arturo Fuente Hemingway series. Just as with the Hemingway line, all vitolas of the Rare Pink are perfectos. Some sizes even share the same name such as the Short Story, Signature, and Work of Art. The last Rare Pink vitola has the name Happy Ending, a name you won’t find in the Hemingway series.
But now three new vitolas are coming. Not anytime soon. Two new sizes are slated for October, with a third size coming before the end of the year. The sizes of the two cigars coming in October are a 3¾x54 and a 7¼x53 Perfecto. The last vitola is a Lancero Figurado with unknown dimensions. The smallest of the new sizes has the name Queen of Hearts. The other names are yet unknown.
As for the blend, Fuente is using tobacco from Nicaragua as the filler and binder. Some of the tobaccos come from the Fuente farms in Nicaragua. The wrapper comes from Ecuador. From Finca La Mecca, owned by the Oliva Tobacco Company. That’s not the Oliva Cigar Family, the Oliva Tobacco Company is a tobacco grower and not related to the cigar brand. The wrappers from the Ashton VSG series come from Finca La Mecca as well.
