Artista Cigars announces today that it will redesign packaging for two existing lines, Puro Ambar and Cimarron, and the packaging will be on-display at InterTabac 2024 in Dortmund, Germany. New packaging begins shipping Q1 2025. The package redesign is accompanied by a name change and SKU reduction.

Puro Ambar and Cimarron will now be known at Artista Cimarron and Artista Puro Ambar. The name changes and package redesign are the latest steps in the rebranding process Artista initiated in 2022. Now, for the first time, Cimarron and Puro Ambar are clearly positioned in the Artista portfolio. “This is a logical step for our older marks that previously existed as stand-alone brands,” States Kevin Newman, Vice President of Artista Cigars, “now retailers and consumers will be able to easily classify and identify these brands as part of the Artista Family”.

The redesign exhibits a distinctly Artista style with angular lines, distinct colours to denote blend differences, and the Artista logo on the band and box, yet the design execution separates Artista Cimarron and Artista Puro Ambar from the more expensive Artista Series.

The cigar blends will remain the same as will the cigar sizes. Artista will retain the original sizes of Cimarron which have been available since its’ launch in 2017, Robusto (5×54), Toro (6×50), and Doble Toro (6×60). Puro Ambar will remain with the three sizes it has had since 2020, Corona (5.5×42), Robusto (5×50), and Toro (6×54). Both Artista Cimarron and Artista Puro Ambar remain in 20-CT boxes.

Artista will reduce Cimarron from nine SKUs to three. Previously Cimarron was available in three different wrappers, San Andres Maduro, Honduran Connecticut, and Ecuadorian Habano, the latter of which was exclusive to the European market. Artista will discontinue the Connecticut and Ecuadorian Habano SKUs.
