Another limited Single Cask Nation cigar. J&J Spirits, the company behind the popular Single Cask Nation Whisky, announces the release of the second Single Cask Nation cigar. This time a bourbon cask aged premium cigar in collaboration with Aganorsa Leaf. And exclusively sold through 2 Guys’ Smoke Shop.

The cigar is a Toro size measuring 6×54. It is in a box-pressed format. The blend uses Nicaraguan Corojo as a wrapper and Nicaraguan filler and binder. J&J Spirits, brand owner of Single Cask Nation, is an independent bottler of fine Single Malts, Bourbons, Ryes, Rums, and Mezcal. They shipped a Bourbon cask to Aganorsa Leaf that once housed a 14-year-old Tennessee Bourbon Whisky. The cigars were then aged for a period in the cask imparting subtle notes from the bourbon into the famed Aganorsa Leaf tobaccos. 

Infused yet not infused

The cold draw allows notes of marshmallows and imparts a subtle oak from the barrel. Once lit, the cigar produces the famous spice Aganorsa is known for along with notes of marzipan, maple, and a refined vanilla component that lingers gently on the finish. “The 2021 edition of the Single Cask Nation is more of a traditional cigar, but the barrel changes things up creating an experience showcasing both crafts,” says Jonathan Miller, Cigar Czar at J&J Spirits. 

“The bourbon barrel creates an interesting marriage” adds Joshua Hatton, the company’s President & CEO, “Fans of bourbon will definitely love this cigar as will fans of Aganorsa Leaf. Where our last release was more about the whisky, this one is extremely balanced.” 

2 Guys Cigars

The company’s Cigar Czar Jonathan Miller reached out to Dave Garofalo from 2 Guys Cigars. Once again the large cigar retailer and the liquor bottler work together. “Aganorsa Leaf produces some amazing award-winning sticks,” says Miller, “and when it came to include 2 Guys Cigars as a retail partner again, it was an easy choice.” 

David Garofalo, owner of 2 Guys Cigars adds, “With the success of the first release we were more than happy to partner up with Single Cask Nation once again. This has been an interesting project to be a part of and we were thrilled to offer feedback to create an even better sophomore release that cigar fans will embrace.” Only 200 boxes are available and they will go on sale on July 26.
