The first is a new size for the AGANORSA Leaf Supreme Leaf line. The 2021 edition is a 6×46 Corona Gorda. Box-pressed. The second new release is the AGANORSA Leaf Rear Leaf Reserve in three sizes.

Supreme Leaf 

Demand for Supreme Leaf continues to grow,” says Terence Reilly, VP of sales and marketing for AGANORSA Leaf, in a press release. “We heard a lot of requests for the next size to be under a 50 ring gauge so we listened and decided on a 6×46, a vitola that just so happens to be my personal favorite as well.” 

It is the third size in the line, following the 5×52 Robusto and the 6×54 Toro. The blend is a company secret, although AGANORSA Leaf did reveal it is a Nicaraguan puro. And that the blend is heavy on Corojo 99, a variety of tobacco that AGANORSA Leaf is famous for.

Rare leaf reserve

The cigar manufacturer is also responsible for the AGANORSA Leaf Rare Leaf Reserve. A new line that will hit the American market in February. This is also a Nicaraguan puro. The wrapper comes from Jalapa. Two different forms in Nicaragua are responsible for the double criollo 98 binder. The filler consists of Criollo 98 with a bit of Corojo 99. There is a 5¼x52 Robusto, a 6×54 Toro, and a 6×60 Titan in the works.

“A constant challenge is utilizing tobaccos to create blends which are outstanding expressions of our signature flavor and aroma while still producing them in quantities viable to sustain production consistently rather than just as one-time limited editions or available only sporadically throughout the year,” says Terence Reilly. “Rare Leaf will be the first project using selections of our Leaf in short supply that will be maintained in regular production. In order to achieve this, Rare Leaf will be available only to our Aganorsa Leaf Select retail partners.”

 

Both the AGANORSA Leaf Supreme Leaf and the AGANORSA Leaf Rare Leaf Reserve come from the TABSA, Tabacos Valle de Jalapa, factory in Esteli. The factory is part of the AGANORSA Leaf operations and famous for producing some of the highest-rated private labels.
