A Lonsdale for EPC La Historia. During the PCA Convention & Trade Show in Las Vegas, the new size of the La Historia line will debut. It is the first time that Ernesto Perez Carrillo is making a Lonsdale for EPC Cigars as the 6½x43 classic vitola isn’t a popular vitola nowadays, even though it is a classic size with a lot of history.

The name of the new cigar Parientes, meaning relatives in Spanish. It fits in the whole theme of the La Historia series. The series pays tribute to the history of Perez-Carrillo history. The line is seven years old this year, with the E-III as the frontrunner after scoring second place at Cigar Aficionado’s Top 25 in the year of the release.

Regular production

The new cigar is a regular production cigar although the initial release is capped at 500 boxes of 20 cigars, making the total of cigars available 10.000. But according to Lissette Perez-Carrillo, there will be more available throughout the year as production allows. This is the only La Historia vitola with 20 cigars in a box. All other vitolas come in boxes of 10. “My hope is that families everywhere will welcome this cigar into their lives and will break out a box whenever there are friends and families having recollections of times gone by or making new memories,” explains Ernesto Perez-Carrillo the bigger box size.

The blend is the same as the other sizes, with a Mexican San Andres wrapper over Ecuadorian binder. The filler is all Nicaraguan and the cigars are rolled at EPC’s La Alianza factory in the Dominican Republic
