Description (taken from the website) : SeriousCigars.com has been in business since August of 1997. SeriousCigars.com was a web based cigar retailer until the opening of our Brick and Mortar store in December of 2003. We specialize in the top tier of most popular brands as well as the cream of the crop from the boutique manufacturers.

    Serious Cigars has a nice selection of non-Cuban brands such as Tatuaje, Rocky Patel, Olivia, Drew Estate, etc. The website is easy to navigate and their prices are decent. I put in an order, it was immediately confirmed and the smokes arrived in a few days, easy peasy.

    I’ve placed several orders with these Texans. Their prices are hard to beat and the service is outstanding. No Cubans, though.

    I’ve purchased from Ron at SC since ’06. Spent thousands of bucks and will continue. Had one bad experience with another big online retailer when I first began smoking… that’s when I found serious cigars and I haven’t switched since. The prices are very good, but maybe not the best, but I’m happy to occasionally pay an extra couple dollars to know that I’m patronizing a biz that truly values me as a customer.

    I deceided to use a new online retailer and
    started using Serious Cigars in January. I
    ordered a couple of times from this retailer
    in January and February. Nothing but excellent service starting from ordering online to receiving my cigars. Cigars were packed with a
    humidipak and arrived in perfect condition. I
    also received the cigars faster than my local
    retailer in my area. The cigars I purchased
    were hard to find, but Serious had no problem
    with stock. I give this retailer 100% handsup.

    Ordered for first time from Serious Cigars because a brand I wanted I had a difficult time finding elsewhere. They arrived lickety-split with a pack humidifier and well packaged. Excellent transaction. AAA++++ cigar vendor.

    I BOUGHT CIGARS FROM SERIOUS AND ME AND MY TWO PARTNERS HAD TROUBLE GETTING THE CIGARS ONE OF US LOST THE CIGARS IN SHIPMENT BY FEDEX AND THE OTHER TWO OF US FEDEX SAID THEY LEFT THEM BUT I THINK SOMEONE STOLE THEM THE CIGARS ARE PROB GREAT BUT IF THE SERVICE IS NO GOOD MAYBE BECAUSE OF THE STORM SANDY BUT WE CALLED LEFT MESSAGES AND EM AIL AND HAD NO CALL BACK OR E MAIL WAS VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH THIS COMPANY LIKE I SAID I BLAME THIS MATTER ON THE POST OFFICE AND FEDEX BECAUSE OF THE BIG PROBLEMS WAS HAVING WITH THE STORM AT LEAST THE COMPANY WOULD RETURN CALLS AND TAKE CARE OF MATTERS SUCH AS THIS

    Nevermind the fact that these guys seem to get their hands on all the obscure brands and models. When you receive them, they will be well packaged and humidified, and they will be in good shape, unlike Cigars International and others. At checkout they even gave me the option to purchase a couple of Fuente Anejos for $10 a piece! Whaaa? I pay twice that much at the local B&M usually!

    My purchase was for a box of Viaje Late Harvest (I got the last one, sorry) and it averaged to about $8 a stick compared to $15 at the B&M. Next up will be Four Kicks! Order quickly though, because people jump on these hard-to-find brands.

    After using them for several orders I was informed that an order could not be filled because of lack of inventory. Normally this would be shrugged off but their main page proudly states “SeriousCigars.com has live cigar inventory!! Our inventory is automatically updated with each sale. Our system has been designed to remove each cigar purchase from the website as it actually happens. There is no delay, we do not manually update the site, our customers do that for us when they complete their purchases. We just wanted to remind you that when you see the items in stock, they are really in stock! If you are looking at something very limited and the website says it is available, you may want to pull the trigger or the cigars may be gone when you check back.” which in this case is completely false and misleading as well.

    Ordered on july 5 and recieved the 11.Everything arrived in great condition.Now thats pretty good for up here in northen Quebec,Canada and the order got trough customs no problem.I recommend these guys thumbs up.

    I have been dealing with Serious Cigars for years now. Its always been a pleasant experience and the care they take in packing the cigars is great. I have never had a experience with these guys and the selection is unrivaled. Rock On!

    I have purchased some sticks that no-one had on site. My bad for ordering shady sticks but it was to try other options, but then the sticks that came were waaaaay old. Not like aged but they were all with no taste at all. Well stocked store for sure but they could do better with keeping them fresh, blowout sales of old stocks etc. And I payed a premium for those antiques.

    I have loved the people and service from this company since the day I started purchasing from them several years ago but to my disappointment, the sale of their company has destroyed their service, the Integrity of their customer service department and their ability to deliver product. They are in a state of disarray. We miss you Courtney!

    Serious cigars has definite inventory issues. If they run out of an ordered item, they charge your credit card, and put your order on indefinite hold, forcing the customer to contact them to cancel the order, and forcing the customer to contact their credit card company to contest the charge to receive a refund. Their inventory and billing issues are certainly not worth taking a chance on their, “cigar lottery”. A once great company has deteriorated. Sad.

    Have been ordering from them about $200 a month for 4 months. Sometimes every thing is fine. Other times they leave things out with no message and you have to contact them. The previous review made me kind of nervous.

    The company will spam you. They won’t honor your requests to have you address removed. The unsubscribe link in their emails points to a page that does not contain an unsubscribe function. They won’t read your request to unsubscribe.

    What they will do is send you spam, sometimes one every hour. I wish I was exaggerating.

    If you do business with these idiots, give them a throwaway email address. I’m choosing to shop elsewhere.

    Another Pleasing purchase from Serious Cigars. I am fond of Cusano M1 smooth/mild cigars; they always arrive well packaged, and very fresh from the “hand made roller, individually wrapped, and in a 20count bundle; I love this cigar with a good cup of coffee or a brandy, after a good meal.

    Keep up the good work Serious, I am a forever customer.

    I bought a few times from Serious Cigars and they came quick and we’re great cigars, then I made an order and got 10 cigars instead of the 20 I ordered and they we’re a special they had going instead of what I wanted. I told them and they said they’d email me a return label which I had to keep calling for a week to finally her it, only to listen to the CSR laugh at my situation. Finally I got the label and sent them back. They sent me an email telling me they got them and as soon as they make sure the cigars we’re all there and in good shape they would issue a refund. Well that has never happened. It’s been a month since I’ve been dealing with this problem and all they do is promise to refund me soon. I will never deal with them due to their Customer Service. It’s the worst in the business and I’ve bought from a whole lot of online companies. None have been this bad. Save your money and find someone who cares.

    Well, ordered $200 of cigars from Serious Cigars during a recent sale. Received an email that the order was being processed and would receive an email when shipped. After a week and no email, I called them to find out the order was not sent and that they were out of most of the cigars in the order. How surprising. They said they would cancel the order and refund the charge on my credit card. How nice of them. They said they oversold the items and just said it happens even though they were ordered early in the sale. I guess problems with their ordering process. Needless to say I will never ever order from hem again, and I strongly suggest other people don’ either. Very unresponsive and unhelpful. Yuck. Too many other excellent vendors to buy from, don’t want to ever have this experience again, and I am afraid it will always happen with Serious Cigars. STay far aay.
