    Appearance : [rating:5/5]
The Padron 2000 Maduro has the looks and feel of E.T.’s finger. The cigar is box pressed, it’s bumpy with a rugged almost paper sand feel. Very oily with some sheen here and there. Very dark black chocolate wrapper. This description could seem as mostly negative points, but in fact it’s what makes this cigar unique and bold.

    Construction : [rating:5/5]
The draw on this Padron is amazing. Since it’s a bit bumpy you could expect it to be plugged or loose, but no effort is required and it is definitively not an air pipe. The ash is firm and white with some gray waves and the burn is always even. The smoke on this stick is pure joy, I find myself constantly playing with the white thick smoke, I just can’t get bored with it, an hour of pleasure. You can always rely on this stick.

    Flavor : [rating:5/5]
The pre-light smell on the foot and wrapper are typical of a maduro cigar. Nice chocolaty with some hints of barnyard. The first puff gives you all that you want. A little spice with roasted coffee beans and smoothness, a creaminess. The first third on this cigar is the same delight of coffee and spice with little notes of pepper and cream. On the second third, the pepper disappears a little to amplify the smoothness and creaminess, but the coffee is still present, and the spice is here too, something like nutmeg. The last third reintroduces some pepper with the same cafe latte and spice. A real heaven of a creamy cigar.

    Value : [rating:5/5]
For a cigar this cheap, and so flavorful, what can go wrong? Nothing. This is one of the best cigars at this price that you should always have in your humidor. Be it for on the go smoke, for a moment of relaxation or for the some me time. Go get it, NOW.

    Thumbs Up!

You can’t go wrong with these, unless your B&M jacks the price up like mine does. I’ll buy these online.

If you head over to cigarsintl.com you will see the box of 26 cigars listed at 82.95 but they are currently sold out.

      ~$3.00? I’ve been paying $6 for these!

I’ll know what to do if I win the box. I usually buy 3 singles when I go to my local store. Non cubans are hard to get here in Switzerland.

This is my winner hands down, the 2000, 3000 & ambassador maduros are the best of the best in the category of an everyday cigar that has the perfection of reliable simplicity in a modestly complex flavor profile that will satisfy any true cigar lover everyday affordably. Yeah, I kind of like them, lol, PS. José ya should send me a box just for the plug, hint hint… haha

Right on the mark. There is no better value in the cigar world (IMO). Let some of these sit for a year or so, and it’s one of the smoothest smokes you’ll have at $3, $4, or $10.

it’s one of those that I smoke the most. I try to always have one in my humi.

Couldn’t agree more with the five-star ratings. This stick is a true gem. Very reliable and interesting. And I am heavily biased towards maduro wrappers… 🙂
