This is a regional edition for Asia Pacific, released in 2007. Por Larranaga do not have a robusto in their regular line and I was quite curious how this one would taste. In fact I was even more curious to see whether this cigar would share the flavor profile with the regular production petit corona.

I’ve heard a lot of mixed opinions about the Por Larrañaga Petit Corona and after reading Jason’s review I finally decided to pick up a few. They were bought in Paris as singles so I don’t have the box code. I can only tell you that they had a few months of humidor time.

Por Larrañaga is a local brand produced by Habanos S.A. in only three sizes. The petit corona is the thickest at a 42 ring guage. I find this to be an intriguing cigar because I’ve read many good reviews on it and I get the impression it has a bit of a cult following. This is my second tasting of a Por Larrañaga Petit Corona with the 1st being back January. I expected more from this one since it now had 4 months of humidor time. I am not sure of the box code of this cigar, since it was bought as a single, but I would say it’s most likely from early-mid 2007.
