The Carlos Torano Virtuoso Toro is not a size I found on the website’s list of sizes, I think it’s unique to the sampler I received from CAO/Torano (thanks again guys!).
The Virtuoso is one of Torano’s newer lines and is certainly billed as their strongest (next in line would probably would be the Noventa).

The Carlos Torano Exodus 1959 was an immensely popular cigar during its debut and has retained a loyal following since. This particular toro has a rich-looking dark brown reddish wrapper with few visible veins and a satiny sheen.
It took a punch well and the pre-light draw is just fine. Even though this is a tightly box-pressed cigar, it still draws great and yields tons of smoke.
There is a spiciness and pepperiness on the middle of tongue with this cigar. It is also woody with a rich earthiness. There is also a little bit of coffee bean here and there. I also picked up a touch of leather touch on the palate with a super long finish good cigar. It is also a little dry.
The burn did canoe a few times but the cigar corrected itself.
This is a pretty good cigar that has been hit or miss for me in the past.

Originally made as the Toraño family’s house blend, smoked by the family when at the factories, there was a time that you couldn’t buy this cigar. To get one you would have to attend a Toraño event where they were fresh rolled for the events attendees. The cigar was so well received by those lucky enough to smoke one that they decided to put this cigar into regular production. That is the story of how the Casa Toraño cigar came to be.

The Toraño Noventa was created in 2006 to celebrate 90 years of cigar heritage in the Toraño family. In 1916 the patriarch of the family, Don Santiago Toraño made the move from Spain to Cuba to begin his career in the cigar industry. Eventually his three sons joined him in the family business as the Toraños became of of the largest tobacco growers in Cuba. Like a lot of cigar and tobacco families in Cuba, they had to leave after the revolution when Castro nationalized the tobacco industry. The family moved their business to the Dominican Republic and eventually Carlos Jr. moved it again to Nicaragua where it now thrives.
Origin : Honduras Format : Corona Grande Size : 156 x 18 mm Ring : 46 Cigar Filler : Honduras, Costa Rica, Mexico Cigar Binder : Costa Rica Cigar Wrapper : Honduras Hand-Made Price : $6-$8 each
This is one of my “go-to” cigars. Its fairly cheap by the box, but if you try and buy it as a single stick its gonna cost you. I have seen these in stores for $6-$8 each, so save some cash and buy a box if you like em enough. The box comes with a humi-pack so you can be assured that your cigars will be kept at 69%, which is important because these gars are very sensitive to overheating due to low humidity.
